The thyroid is a butterfly- shaped gland in the neck that can have a dramatic impact on a variety of bodily functions. At least 30 million Americans have a thyroid disorder and half are silent sufferers who are undiagnosed, according to the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist.

The thyroid is responsible for regulating your body’s temperature, metabolism, and heart beat amongst other things. What can cause your thyroid to go haywire?
